APSA Committee invite you to the 18th Biennial Conference

On behalf of the Australasian Pig Science Association (APSA)Committee, I’d like to invite you to the 18th Biennial Conference that will be held virtually, using the pheedloop platform, from the 15th– 18th November 2021 and available for viewing after the conference at https://pheedloop.com/APSA2021/.
APSA seeks to bring together the latestpig research from around the world, and the diverse program will provideinformation on current thinking and solutions to many of the key challengesfacing pork production. Our invited speakers will outline;
·        how wecan improve the performance of the neonatal piglet (Dr Chantal Farmer),
·        how tomanage pigs with intact tails in intensive production (Prof Anna Valros),
·        theFive Domains model and promoting positive welfare in pigs (Dr Nikki Kells),
·        howadoption of smart agri-systems will improve industry sustainability (Prof LisaCollins),
·        canearly-life establishment of piglet microbiota influence production (Dr TanyaNowland), and,
·        theimpact of climate change on what we feed our pigs, its future consequences onpig production and what we have learned about the effects of heat stress (ProfRichard Trethowan, Dr David Renaudeau and Dr Fan Liu).

Whilst the submitted one-page papersreflect the cutting-edge research from Australasia and around the world acrossall topics on pig production. All invited papers are published and available todelegates in the prestigious animal journal and submitted one-pageextended abstracts in animal – science proceedings.
