Tien Giang to stock 3,500 hectares of shrimp

In 2014, farmers in Tien Giang province will stock 3,500 hectares of black tiger shrimp and white leg shrimp under the model of intensive and semi-intensive farming. Besides, 2,046 hectares of black tiger shrimp will also be stocked under the model of renovated extensive shrimp farming.
So far this year, farmers in the province have stocked 5,436 hectares of brackish water shrimp and harvested 12,513 MT. Thanks to increase in shrimp price, local shrimp farmers can earn high profit.
