A booming of the shrimp export in Vietnam

In 2013, the total of seafood exports turnover had reached USD6.7 billion, increase by 10% year-on-year, in which the total of shrimp exports turnover had reached USD3 billion. Specialist, Vietnam has become the third largest country that supply shrimp product for global.

Because of advantage export, the price of raw shrimp has risen. In Ca Mau province, Bac Lieu province, Soc Trang province…, the price of black tiger shrimp has reached VND320, 000 per kilogram (type 20 shrimp per kilogram); VND250, 000 per kilogram (type 30 shrimp per kilogram); VND220, 000 per kilogram (type 40 shrimp per kilogram). This is the highest price since a few years ago. Moreover, the price of whiteleg shrimp has reached VND180, 000 per kilogram (type 60 shrimp per kilogram); VND166, 000 per kilogram (type 70 shrimp per kilogram); VND150, 000 per kilogram (type 80 shrimp per kilogram).
